Become a Marine Rescue Port Douglas Supporter
You don’t need to crew a rescue boat to contribute to the safety of our local boaties and visiting mariners. Many of us in the Douglas Shire contribute in other ways.
Marine Rescue Port Douglas relies on local fundraising for over half our annual budget to provide the boating community of the Douglas Shire with a coordinated marine emergency response service.
You can become a Sponsor Partner. You can Donate. You can contribute at a time of the passing of a loved one.
Also, we have a number of donation boxes at various locations around the Douglas Shire and you can also donate online.
If you wish you may also donate via direct funds transfer to our bank account. NB: We will not be able to receipt these direct deposits.

Our Sponsors are community engaged businesses and individuals that have a strong connection with the Douglas Shire. They are to be commended for this altruistic community support.
There are however direct benefits in sponsoring Marine Rescue Port Douglas. Rescuing people and vessels at sea is always newsworthy locally and sometimes nationally. These events and incidents are regularly reported by our broadcast and print media. A sponsorship association with these stories can be of positive value to our Sponsors.
As well as the reporting by the mainstream media, we have an active presence across social media and those accounts are attracting more and more followers. Where relevant, we like to recognise our sponsors on our social media platforms.
There are different sponsorship packages available. For more information on these opportunities we invite you to contact us through our Fundraising Coordinator. The email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
Many of our Douglas Shire residents have enjoyed a close connection to the sea throughout their lifetime. A gift in your Will and/or Donations at your funeral service are ways to celebrate and acknowledge this treasured life experience.
Bequests in Wills
The things we care about don’t stop when we do. A bequest in your Will is a way to pass on your life values long after you’ve gone. Your Solicitor and our Fundraising Coordinator will be able to assist you in this respect.
An In Memoriam donation is a lasting way to remember a loved one and to support our Volunteers’ vital work to save lives on the water.
Either you or your funeral director can arrange envelopes to be available at the service by calling our base on 07 4099 5392 or emailing email@example.com. All donations of $2.00 or more are fully tax deductible.
